Your Thoughts on the Media's Hurricane Coverage
I'd like to hear your thoughts on the news media's coverage of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath.
Has it been good? Bad? Over the top? Not enough?
Is the the media focusing too much on the looters? Should we be looking harder for good news?
Please leave your thoughts.

Some of the networks are airing what amounts to a 24/7 editorial criticizing the federal government (Bush). Particularly CNN. It's shrill and non-informative. First of all, there's no way any government or governments working together are going to be able to control this disaster in a couple of days. An entire metropolitan area is flooded and without power or infrastructure. Certainly mistakes are being made. People are suffering. It's tragic. But government cannot protect us from everything or provide instant relief to everyone in extraordinary circumstances like this. It will take the most massive recovery effort this nation has ever seen. After days have passed and people understand the enormity of this catastrophe I hope some perspective settles in.
